For 40 years, KSH has proudly served East Texas, and we are deeply grateful to everyone who has supported us on this journey. Thank you for your generous donations of food and funds that help fulfill Christ’s mission of feeding the needy. Today, we need your support more than ever. Due to federal cutbacks to social programs, every nationally funded food bank in America is struggling to meet the needs of those who have relied on them for so long.
KSH has never depended on federal funding; for four decades, we have been self-sustaining through the support of our local businesses, churches, and volunteers. Our community stands by us as we strive to support our neighbors. Unfortunately, many government-sponsored food banks are shutting down or unable to provide assistance, leaving us to fight to keep our lights on and our mission alive, even if just for one more day. We aim to share God’s love through every meal and every action, reminding those in need that they are cherished.
We have witnessed countless miracles, fueled by the love of our Savior. We have chosen to remain independent, allowing us to pray openly and express our faith without the constraints of government regulations. We celebrate the message of Christmas and proclaim that Jesus is the Savior, offering everlasting peace.
These are challenging times, and our mission of hope is at risk. With the loss of significant funding, those who depend on us are in dire need. We are overwhelmed by requests for food, as many have been turned away from other sources. When we began our mission 40 years ago, we anticipated this day would come.
We urgently need your help! The burden now falls heavily on KSH, as the gap left by the loss of funding has widened. We purchase the food we distribute through contributions, donations, and the hard work of our volunteers. We humbly ask for your support on behalf of those who struggle with pride and need assistance. We are committed to fighting against all odds to keep our mission alive.
We believe that local support and community involvement are the best ways to make a difference. When you help your neighbor, you help yourself. Together, we can continue to make a positive impact in our community.
